how i discovered craniosacral therapy

I came across craniosacral therapy while studying remedial massage in 2014. What started off as lower back pain developed into very painful and persistent sciatica, that required a lot of pain control to get me through the days and weeks.

One of my teachers, who was also a qualified craniosacral therapist, offered me a craniosacral therapy treatment. I still remember our first session - sensations of release, resulting in pain dissipating as she made light contact with my sacrum. After several craniosacral therapy sessions, I was pain-free, my body had recovered and returned to health. This experience inspired me to study Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST).

What is BCST

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle and holistic approach to bodywork that blends Western anatomical understanding with mindfulness and the belief in the body’s intrinsic ability to heal itself. BCST involves the therapist using light touch to engage with the body’s nervous system, soft tissues, bones, and fluids, promoting deep relaxation and healing. This therapy helps individuals reconnect with their innate health, increasing body awareness and identifying areas of restriction or imbalance.

BCST is effective in addressing stress, chronic pain, and past trauma without needing to revisit traumatic experiences verbally. By calming the nervous system and facilitating natural healing processes, it supports the body in resolving issues from within. The therapy also works with the body’s fluid and energetic fields, encouraging a holistic movement towards greater health and well-being.

Suitable for all ages, BCST is gaining recognition for its profound benefits and is practiced worldwide.
